Newborn

Congratulations! You’re a Mumma and your baby is beautiful, no matter what.

We hope that your birth was what you would have wanted. You’re probably really busy with the baby but do take some time to check in on how you’re feeling. Having a bout of baby blues is extremely common and is normal for many Mums. But if you think you might need more help, do get in touch with someone who can help you and guide your mental well-being.

The Postpartum period can be rough. Your body is healing and you’re preoccupied with caring for the baby. One of the things that you may be struggling with is breastfeeding. It might be hard to get the hang of it the first time – or even the second time round! Do consult with a lactation consultant so that they can advise you the best solutions for your own individual needs.

Once baby is born, there is usually a schedule of paediatric appointments for you to meet, usually to check growth and milestones. While many parents go back to the hospital they gave birth at, some opt for a practitioner based on their medical philosophy. Whatever you choose, do know that there are options out there. So if you feel uncomfortable with a certain doctor, check out other medical centres or clinic that is a better holistic match for you.

As baby approaches its first month, you may be planning a celebration. Be it small or grand, there are many ways you can make your little one’s first month party special and memorable, perhaps with unique gifts for well-wishers, a custom cake or a personalised newborn photoshoot.

We wish you all the best during your confinement period and babymoon!
